Motivation

Our motivation is no other than to lead the true monk’s life, that is, Renunciation, Study and Practice. This was the intention of Lord Buddha when he created the ordained Sangha with his most engaged followers.

Orando

In Western countries it is very difficult for us monks to lead a real consecrated life, as the religious culture in which we live is inexistent or ignores what it means to be a Buddhist monk, and we have no moral or physical support. For this reason, many ordained monks have to dedicate an important part of their daily time to work in order to survive, leaving the Dharma practice aside and getting completely involved in the practice of hard samsara. This leads many of them to a state of desperation and discouragement, and in some cases they even leave and renounce something they had achieved with much illusion and devotion.

Seeing the situation, and learning from it, the need arises to create a space for the practice of the monk or the nun, without external obstacles that could cause its discontinuance. The monk will have at his disposal all possibilities for his practice and renunciation, free from daily payments, so he can live in community.
